Ilkin Huseynov is an Azerbaijani documentary photographer. He is a price winner of numerous photographic competitions, such as Wine Photo, Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation, Powerhouse Books. Recently he received grant from Open Society Foundation to document his hometown – Ganja. He also works as an editor of RIOT BOOKS – an independent publishing house co-founded by him and argentinian artist Veronica Fieiras. They’ve published 3 books by now and about one of them – “Muhit”- he talks on the roof of his house in Baku.

Ru Hasanov, young Azeri filmmaker, was born in 1987 in Baku. He graduated from Bates College (USA) in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater. Before directing films, he worked on television in Moscow, directed several documentaries, short films and music videos. His feature film debut Chameleon (co-directed with Elvin Adigozel) competed in Locarno Film Festival’s “Filmmakers of the Present” program.

Nijat Mamedov is a young poet and essayist from Baku. He is an author of three books and a winner of several international literature awards. His latest work “The Stroll” was published on CD in a modern multimedia hypertext format, which offers a   reader in addition to written information an option to call up illustrations, audio and video data being offline.

Aygul Salehova is 21 years old. She is studying economics at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. Among other projects she is also a co-founder of a street theater group called “Baki Teatr Sexi”. Through her work she is having a very active social life. We hope you enjoy this video clip.
